Code of Ethics and Quadrennial Ethics Training Requirements

A requirement through the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR®) that went into effect January 1, 2001 states that ALL REALTORS® MUST take continuing ethics training every four (4) years.

This 2 1/2 hour course was put into place in order to create an awareness and appreciation for the role that Code can and should play in their professional lives; to enhance professionalism and competency; and to encourage REALTORS® to view their Code of Ethics as living, viable guide in their daily dealings with clients.

New Members/REALTORS® have a short window of time to take the test that will need to be taken every four (4) years. To complete the training:

The deadline to fulfill the REALTOR® Code of Ethics for the 3rd Cycle in accordance with NAR® was MONDAY, DECEMBER 31, 2012*.
