BCCAR Young Professionals Committee (YPN): Age requirement is 39 years and younger (sorry oldsters!) Reach out to young members. Cultivate their knowledge of texting, blogging and the internet as their main form of marketing and communication. Create events and workshops to educate membership. Target young members and draw them into board activities. Increase young member participation in events and education. Board of Directors: Identifies industry trends and responds by establishing policies and strategic initiatives to keep the REALTOR® at the center of the transaction. Meets on Thursday mornings approximately every six weeks. (*Must submit a petition signed by 100 REALTOR® members in order to be included on the ballot for nomination. Grievance Committee: Reviews formal ethics complaints and arbitration requests to determine if they are within the Association's scope of authority, as outlined in the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual 2009. Legislative Committee: Monitors and reviews municipal and state legislation, working closely with Associated Business Solutions (ABS) for compatibility with private property rights, and provides recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding the stance it should take.
